For years now, my oldest daughter has been encouraging me to write a blog. She excitedly shared that a blog was something we could do together. We even came up with a name…and then, nothing happened. For years. Until now.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
This is the time to do what Jesus has prepared me to do.
I’m pretty simple. I love Jesus. I love His Word. I love my husband and two daughters, Hope (12) and Faith (7). I love paddle-boarding I love clean eating. And, I love cooking.
For Mother’s Day this year, my youngest daughter was given the assignment to write five things that she loved about her mom. Her top response was “Her cooking” (followed closely by her second, “Teaching about Jesus”). As her response reveals, I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I love playing around with whole foods, creating recipes that my family can enjoy. I don’t use any refined sugar and all of the recipes you will find here are gluten free.
I enjoy eating intentionally. Mindfully. Being a steward of what I feed my body…and the bodies of those I care about most.
I Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
So, what I offer in this blog is simple. Nourishment for your soul and body. Dive deeper with Jesus. Find clean, healthy recipes. Stick around for awhile. I bet you will be glad you did.
Blessings and hugs,
